Five Fords WwTW is a sewage works just outside Wrexham in north-east Wales blending passive and activated sludge treatment.

The total population served by the works in the Wrexham area is around 100,000. Seven tankers per day bring in sludge and domestic sewage from elsewhere in the north-east Wales and Chester area.

Working closely with Welsh Water PLC, Stortec supplied and installed 2No. Glass Fused to Steel Sludge Cake Silo’s each 6,831mm diameter x 13,335mm high.

Each complete with a Beam & Infill GRP Cover which are centrally reinforced and fitted with handrails forming an integral central walkway.
