Westry, a leading vegetable supplier based in East Anglia, recently made significant extensions to their Anaerobic Digestion plant as part of their upscaling works.

Working closely with Anaerobic Digestion specialists Local Generation, Stortec delivered engineering and product installation of further Anaerobic Digestion capacity totalling 1500 cubic meters. This increase in digestion capacity requires the use of three new Permastore glass fused to steel tanks that will aid flexibility of process and  capacity. Each tank boasts galvanised mild steel bunds, access steelwork and pipework, and will utilise Stortec’s Gold Card installation service, which includes a specialisation in AD tank construction.

Following sign off, the project will be set to handle the increased waste capacity flowing from vegetable processing and will significantly increase the production of biogas.
