Multiple Tank materials and designs were utilized to ensure the project was completed to the highest standard and to programme constraints.

Leading Glass Coated Steel technology was provided including ‘Finless’ bolts to maintain coating integrity along with coated panel edges to ensure 100% protection of the tank kits.

STORTEC design engineers are the leading experts in Sludge Cake Silo designs. The Silo’s are constructed at ground level to eliminate working at height risks and improve programme.
Following construction, the Silo is lifted via a crane as one unit and then mounted on the sludge cake base steelwork.

The Digesters were constructed at ground level adjacent to the final position due to the existing base being situated below ground with a side wall drop of several feet.
Tanks were specifically designed to be lifted into place via a crane and fitted to the existing tank base.

The Digesters are constructed using ULTRASTORE® Stainless Steel, with both the tank wall and roof utilising the innovative product.
