Project Overview

The first element of the project was to dismantle a 28-year-old Glass Coated Steel Digester. This was replaced by effectively reversing the installation method ensuring all work was carried out at ground level in a controlled process.

As part of our scope, STORTEC carried out repairs to the existing base to ensure it was suitable for reuse.
Replacement Digester Tank constructed from ULTRASTORE® Stainless Steel panels specifically selected to work with advanced Chloride Levels within the tank.

As part of STORTEC’s supply we supplied Limpet Chambers, pressure relief valves (PRV’s) and extensive access steelwork. Once the Digester’s were hydraulically and pressure tested the walls were then cladded and insulated.

This project is a result of a strong relationship formed over the last 25 years between the contracting parties.
It was this relationship which allowed the bespoke innovational solution, resulting in truly the optimum full package design.
