Loggerheads STW

Project Overview

Severn Trent Water are working to deliver a new Wastewater Treatment Plant for the village of Loggerheads in Staffordshire.

Once this project is complete, the Loggerheads site will have a capacity of approximately 3,700 PE (Population Equivalent) & the treated effluent quality will comply with the new phosphorous consent permit.

Our Scope included:

  • STORTEC provided & installed 2-OFF Primary Settlement Tanks in our ULTRASTORE® Stainless Steel.
  • Due to the hydraulics, these tanks are partially buried below ground.
  • Part of the package was for STORTEC to design and construct the conical in-situ poured concrete bases, wall mounted lauders and half-bridge scraper mechanisms.

All elements from the design, manufacture and installation of this package were undertaken inhouse by STORTEC.

The complete package provided was not only a commercial and programme benefit to our client (Coffey) but also for Severn Trent Water.
