STORO Tank System
The STORO Tank system is new to the UK market but has been widely used across Europe, the Middle East and South America. The STORTEC Team has a long history of building both Precast and In-situ Concrete tanks. We wanted an alternative which offers similar advantages to our ULTRASTORE® system i.e., it worked with the modern demands of being environmentally friendly and being suitable to higher corrosion resistance applications.
The STORO product range starts at 6m³ and extends to over 10,000m³ volume and the system can be fitted with the same ancillaries as other modular tanks such as roofs, launders and steelwork.
The STORO system is made from Glass Reinforced Plastic which is formed using a vacuum flex moulding process which results in panels with a high glass fibre content, specifically arranged in the direction of stress, which leads to high mechanical strength. In short, the STORO Tank system provides the flexibility and life of a concrete tank but, is completely corrosion resistant and is installed in a shorter duration than even a comparative-sized steel tank.
Flexibility
The panels can be transported to the site on standard flatbed vehicles and are lifted into position using a crane, then bolted together to form a tank. The system only takes days to build on-site. The tanks can be backfilled, support bridge scraper and can come with a range of ancillaries such as launders. In short, the STORO Tank system provides the flexibility and life of a concrete tank and is completely corrosion-resistant.
