The Existing Tank had reached and surpassed its asset design life and was no longer in a condition to remain in service. The tank was complete with a Picket Fence mechanism and Launder system which had also reached an unrepairable state. The tank was deemed to be no longer to Thames Water Specifications.

Project Overview
A new GRP launder was designed specifically for the new tank system. Bringing the tank up to date with current specifications. New Picket Fence mechanism installed with new fence scrapers and center drive shaft.
Fully commissioned both electrically and mechanically to ensure project delivery to the highest standard with STORTEC Director on site for sign off. Bespoke GRP Beam and Infill roof installed with launder maintenance access hatches.
Replacement Glass Coated Steel tank utilizing the latest of Glass Coated Steel Technology. Finless bolts designed specifically to maintain the integrity of the Glass coating.
Mechanical seal ensuring the highest standard of structural integrity. Glass Coated edge protection, ensuring 100% of the tank panel is protected from deterioration.
